NANA: Romance, Slice of Life, Comedy, Shoujo, Music ( Occasionally contains nudity, adult language, adult themes. ) Nana is about two girls. Who are meet on a train. They both are going to Tokyo, both named Nana, and are even the same age. They become friends, but go their senile real estate hunting they meet up again,and to add yet another thing they have in common, they both want the same flat. They end up sharing it. The story follows Nana and Hachi(the other Nana's nickname) lives as they try to find their place in the world. Nana an aspiring punk-rock musician and Hachi just living. They are the most unlikely friends with their completely different personalities. Nana being tough, strong, proud, and independent. Hachi being loyal, needy, dependent, with characteristics of a dog. Their friendship grows stronger as they pursue their careers and search for love in the big city.
